1975 Filled Weekend pt. 2

I have been 21 since April (yay legal drinking). I didn't think this would change my concert experience, other than spending more money at concerts now (15 dollars for a beer, are you kidding me????) and having to tone down my dance moves so I don't spill my drink.

I was very wrong. Annie and I are not the kind of people to go out and party and drink every weekend. I'm very happy with one or two drinks out with friends occasionally. But when The 1975 came to the Deltaplex in November, something about this concert felt different. It may have been the pure excitement from seeing them the night before, or the fact two of our best friends that we met at the Halsey concert were coming to spend the night at our house.

All four of us got ready and headed to the venue, none of us were fans of the opening act, so getting there right toward the end of her act was perfect timing. Annie and i went straight to the bar and got a beer.

Half of the fun of this concert was waiting for Matty, George, and the gang to come on stage. All four of us had a lot to catch up on and talked and laughed while waiting. The band came on, and all of us went wild. We were screaming along to the lyrics and opted to stand in the back of GA pit because we wanted room to dance and not be smushed against everyone.

Annie and I made another trip back to the bar and I have never felt like I was more free at a concert. I was jamming with three of my best friends. I was dancing to some of the best live musicians I have seen, and I did not care one bit about people thinking we were crazy. I wasn't focused on getting the perfect picture, I was simply enjoying the music and the amazing atmosphere The 1975 puts on during every show.

The concert was one to remember, even though thinking back, it is a little fuzzy ;). Sometimes, a good drink, good friends, and good music is just what you need for a perfect weekend.
