Everyone has that song. You know the one I am talking about? The one that takes you back to a fun day with friends, a sad day, or automatically puts you in a good mood? Those are the best kinds of songs; the ones where you remember the first time you listened to it and who you were with. This month we are going to share some of our favorite songs or artists that made summer 2015 memorable.
Derrival// Original Script
I'm cheating a little bit with this song, which is why I put it first. I actually first listened to this song last summer but it is one of my favorite songs to date. It sounds like how summer feels, and is super catchy.
Halsey // Hold Me Down
Halsey is one of my favorite artists at the moment and I couldn't be more excited about her debut album 'Badlands' coming out at the end of this month. I fell in love with this song when I saw her in March and was so excited to have a studio version of it. One of my favorite things about Halsey are her raw lyrics and the emotion and uniqueness in her voice.
Ship to Wreck // Florence + The Machine
I love all of Florence + The Machine's newest album but this song has been one song off the album I keep coming back to. It's a song that makes me want to dance and sing along with (if only I sounded as good as her).
Young Rising Sons // F**ked Up
This song was one of my favorite songs when I saw them touring with the 1975 in November and again during the American Youth Tour in March. When they had announced the studio version was out I wasted no time buying it and listening to it on repeat on the way to work. It's a great song to scream out the lyrics and just jam to in the car with the windows down.
Hope these songs make your last few weeks of summer something to remember!
xx Molly
