Waiting In Line

If you have ever been to a General Admission concert, chances are you've had to wait in a line. Molly and I sure have, too many times to count. Living in Michigan we've been through freezing weather to 100 degree heat, times ranging from 30 minutes to 12 hours+ as we like to say "This isn't our first rodeo". I thought it would be nice to talk about some tips and tricks to making waiting in line virtually painless, and even fun!

One of my tips is an obvious one. Bring food, water, and a blanket. If you can remember these three things your experience will already be 100% better. Bring plastic water bottles you can dispose of and just cheap food you won't mind leaving behind once doors open. (Fun Fact-Some venues will allow an unopened bottle of water). Sitting on the ground can be hard and painful so bringing a cheap blanket is such a good idea. Especially if its really hot or really cold the blanket will buffer that and make concrete sidewalks a bit more tolerable.

My biggest tip to anybody who is planning on waiting in line at a concert- no matter your age, gender, whatever- MAKE FRIENDS! I cannot stress this point enough. I've found that some of my most memorable concerts were the ones where I made friends waiting in line. Some of those people I still keep in touch with today. Everybody is there for the same reason and 99.9% of concerts I've been to the people are so nice and friendly and I actually trust them more than some of my friends IRL. It's so fun to talk about common interests and learn so much about people. They'll hold your spot in line while you go take a bathroom break or run to the car and also share food with you.

At our Halsey concert in March the two girls we met were so amazing! We became so close by the end of the experience they even put their things in our car with 100% trust. Now I'm not saying to do that with whoever, but we had gotten to know them so well and trust them we felt so comfortable and it was like we had known them our entire life!*

Waiting in line can be an amazing experience, but only if you have the right attitude. You're in line for hours and you wont be going anywhere until the doors open so just have a good time and might as well make another friend right? I think keeping a postive attitude and making the most out of every situation that occurs is so key. I've had my car towed while waiting in line and had to drop so much money to get it back and even though it really made me stressed I kept a positive attitude and had one of the best concert's of my life!

I would to hear your stories or tips on waiting in line, so comment below!

xx Annie

*We actually just met up with our two friends at another concert this past week and are still in touch!
